Liquid Phase Micro-Extraction of Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate Anionic Surfactants in Aqueous Samples

Hollow fiber liquid phase micro-extraction (LPME) of linear alkylbenzene sulfonates (LAS) from aqueous samples was studied. Ion pair extraction of C10, C11, C12 and C13 homologues was facilitated with trihexylamine as ion-pairing agent, using di-n-hexylether as solvent for the supported liquid membrane (SLM). Effects of extraction time, acceptor buffer concentration, stirring speed, sample volume, NaCl and humic acids were studied. At 10–50 µg L−1 linear R2-coefficients were 0.99 for C10 and C11 and 0.96 for C12. RSD was typically ~15%. Three observations were especially made. Analyzing the semiotic dimension of Fico, an agri-food park near Bologna, we can see a structure of the space that makes a large use of branding strategies. Fico takes up and amplifies some trends already present in unconventional restaurants; so it is necessary to go back at least to McDonald's to reconstruct its genealogy. Having overcome the opposition between fast and slow food, after Eataly and Expo 2015 Fico tries to put on display the entire agri-food chain, but only partially succeeds. Rather than brand niche products, Fico explicitly opens up to the world of large-scale food distribution. The semiotic analysis of space provides useful demonstrations in this regard.

Breakdown of the isobaric multiplet mass equation (IMME) at A=33, T=3/2

Mass measurements on 3 3 , 3 4 , 4 2 , 4 3 Ar were performed using the Penning trap mass spectrometer ISOLTRAP and a newly constructed linear Paul trap. This arrangement allowed us, for the first time, to extend Penning trap mass measurements to nuclides with half-lives below one second ( 33 Ar : T 1 / 2 = 174 ms ). A mass accuracy of about 10 − 7 ( δ m ≈ 4 keV ) was achieved for all investigated nuclides. The isobaric multiplet mass equation was checked for the A = 33 , T = 3 / 2 quartet and found to be inconsistent with the generally accepted quadratic form. peerReviewed
Precision 71Ga – 71Ge mass-difference measurement

The 71Ga(νe, e−) 71Ge reaction Q value has been measured with the JYFLTRAP mass spectrometer at the IGISOL facility of the University of Jyv¨askyl¨a to Q = 232.443(93) keV. This value agrees with previous measurements, though it features a much higher accuracy. The Q value is being discussed in the context of the solar neutrino capture rate in 71Ga. peerReviewed

High-precision mass measurements for the isobaric multiplet mass equation atA= 52

Masses of $^{52}$Co, $^{52}$Co$^m$, $^{52}$Fe, $^{52}$Fe$^m$, and $^{52}$Mn have been measured with the JYFLTRAP double Penning trap mass spectrometer. Of these, $^{52}$Co and $^{52}$Co$^m$ have been experimentally determined for the first time and found to be more bound than predicted by extrapolations. The isobaric multiplet mass equation for the $T=2$ quintet at $A=52$ has been studied employing the new mass values. No significant breakdown (beyond the $3\sigma$ level) of the quadratic form of the IMME was observed ($\chi^2/n=2.4$). The cubic coefficient was 6.0(32) keV ($\chi^2/n=1.1$). En este trabajo analizamos el encuadre informativo del Daño cerebral adquirido (DCA) en noticias publicadas en El País, El Mundo y La Vanguardia entre 2010 y 2013. Partiendo de una búsqueda léxica, se seleccionaron los textos que tematizaban el DCA, bien como tema central o secundario, y se analizaron las distintas categorías de encuadre discursivo. Los resultados muestran la escasa presencia del DCA en la prensa generalista, frente a su incidencia en nuestra sociedad, y que esta presencia escasa se refiere sobre todo a aspectos secundarios (prevención, necesidades asistenciales, calidad de vida), con especial magnificación de los avances tecnológicos.
